Seller's comments and description: this car is in excellent overall condition. The car has benefited from a very nice restoration on a great original car. This healey runs and drives excellent. It has great compression across all 6 cylinders (130 to 135 psi) and great oil pressure (40 pounds when warm at idle). The car does go through the gears perfectly with no noises in any of the gears and the overdrive works nicely and the clutch feels great. Furthermore, the overall feel driving the car is very tight and solid. Certainly, this is one of the nicer and more pleasant healeys to drive. Some of the more recent work includes a new stainless steel exhaust system. Also this car has new 60 spoke chrome wire wheels to go with the newer correct hex knock offs. In addition, the carburetors have been fully rebuilt and set up. This healey has a new boot cover and full tonneau cover with the original tonneau support bar. The vehicle has been recently serviced and everything is working as it should. There are healeys that have achieved record prices in this color, but they were not originally this color or the correct color for that year. In addition, this is an original california car, which makes it even more collectible. Also, very desirable is the late production of this 1967 austin healey, as that was the last year for these great cars. This is a gorgeous example that can be taken to a shows or driven anywhere to provide for miles of enjoyment. This austin healey is truly a great investment car.

I purchased this car as a shell where the previous owner had completed the body work some 10 years ago. The car appears to be rust free but suffered a small fender bender some years ago. The drivers side rear quarter above the tail light was damaged. The previous owner repaired the damaged quarter with filler and smoothed out the fender beading. Also, the rear tag light was deleted and smoothed with body filler. Otherwise, it's a presentable driver quality with minor chips that have been touched up. Again, i want to be clear on condition of the body as it's not perfect. Now for the good news.. Rebuilt 1275 engine with alternator conversion, spin on oil filter, su carbs rebuilt by rocky mountain roadsters, polished valve cover, new water pump, new radiator and hoses, new exhaust with header and new mufflers. New gas take and fuel lines. New front and rear wiring harness, front disc brake conversion, spindles rebuilt by apple hydraulics, new front sway bar and bushings, new tires, wheel bearings, brake calipers and pads, all new hard brake lines and hoses, new master cylinder to match disc brake conversion. New headlights, turn signal lights and rear led brake light conversion. Polished all interior aluminum trim and windshield frame. New windshield glass and rubbers gaskets. New wiper arms and water jets. Interior- dynamat interior, new carpet and rear trunk mat. Seats and dash professionally reupholstered locally. New wood steering wheel. All gauges and switches refurbished or purchased new. New wood shift knob and vent hoses. New tire hold down strap, tool kit pouch. New tonneau cover and interior mirror. New reproduction lucas driving lights. New door handles and strike plates. New sebring style gas filler neck and flip cap. New headlight switch. Many boxes of other parts and pieces not installed. Too many to list... -the transmission in the car slips out of first gear. I recently purchased a rebuilt ribcase transmission for $1500 that will need to be installed. Notice the kendall motor oil sticker on the drivers door from 1997 showing the mileage at 12,720. Inspection of the car indicates that the low mileage is correct. The original owner put most of the mileage on the car. After several years, he donated the car to a vocational program where, over a period of years, the car was taken back to bare medal and prime coat of paint was applied. Originally the color was black. The school eventually discontinued the program and the car was put into storage for many years. The next owner painted the car the current golden beige and installed a new leather interior. No mechanical work was performed at the school. The last owner stored the car for many years and it had minimal use. I have the continuous ownership history. After i purchased the car, i made many improvements and updates including; installing a modern gear reduction starter,the engine was overhauled to permit use of unleaded gas, the transmission was overhauled, new windshield was installed as well as, electric fan with temperature control, electronic ignition, new coil, new spark plug wires, electronic fuel pump, quick change oil filter, new wood steering wheel, new chrome bumpers and bumper guards, and a cigarette lighter was installed to allow charging of cell phone etc., i have just replaced the two rear reflectors with led's from moss motor's allowing for better visibility. All original parts have been saved. The carburetors have been rebuilt and new tires have been added. Chrome wire wheels were added. The top is in virtually new condition. A top cover as well as a tonneau cover is included. All numbers match and i have the british heritage certificate. This is a great opportunity to purchase a low mileage austin healey 3000.

Since 2005, less than 2,000 miles have been driven on this professional restoration. The cars colorado red is virtually flawless. The body is phenomenally straight with consistent gaps and panel fit. All of the body rubber was replaced. The bright work is original except for new bumpers and bumper guards. The original black interior was left un-restored because of it's excellent condition. The carpets were replaced. The walnut dash is in fantastic original condition and the original becker radio is still in the car. Both the tonneau cover and the soft top are in excellent condition. A spare tire is included but not pictured.
